Terms of use
A clear basis for your calculations.
Last updated: October 3, 2026. PocketMath is provided by FMFM Stars / Fumiya Kobayashi in Japan as a free arithmetic tool. These terms explain what the current service does and how to use its results.
What the tools provide
You may use PocketMath to calculate a percentage tip, allocate an equal split, or compare one or two successive discounts. No account, subscription, or payment is required. PocketMath does not move money, make purchases, store payment credentials, or connect to financial accounts.
Check the inputs and method
Results depend on the values you enter and the rounding method described in the guides. The tools use nonnegative amounts with two decimal places, round percentage adjustments half up to cents at each stage, and distribute remainder cents across the first shares in an equal split.
They do not perform currency conversion or implement every currency’s denomination rules. They also do not decide tax treatment, whether a tip is appropriate, the eligibility of a coupon, or a merchant’s checkout policy. Check those details against the relevant receipt, agreement, or offer.
Using the results
PocketMath supplies general arithmetic assistance. Its results are not a quotation, a payment instruction, or individualized financial, tax, or legal advice. Verify a result before using it to settle a bill or make another consequential decision. If a calculation looks incorrect, report the example through Contact.
Availability and changes
Features, supported limits, and explanatory content may change as the site is maintained. Continuous availability or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Respectful use and privacy
Use the service without attempting to disrupt it or interfere with other visitors’ access. Calculations run locally in the browser; the privacy notice explains technical hosting information and contact email separately.
